Giving Tuesday 2023
Our November 28th, Giving Tuesday campaign was a triple success thanks to all of our generous donors. Donations recorded on Giving Tuesday equaled $5,198! Thanks to two generous donors who each doubled the day’s donations we raised a total of $15,594 for Giving Tuesday. To say we are grateful doesn’t seem like enough. Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make this day such a success.
Year End Appeal
We know that many families wait until the end of the year to determine their charitable gifts. Those of you who follow SCID Angels see some of the advocacy, patient support, and awareness provided by SCID Angels For Life Foundation.
Do you know, so far in 2023, we have:
- granted 28 SCID Family Scholarships at $1,000 each,
- awarded one $5,000 Educational Scholarship,
- provided 4 e-newsletters designed to share the SCID experience and bring awareness for SCID to families, friends, physicians, and industry partners,
- conducted monthly Connect in the Cloud Zoom Meet-ups to help families in a face-to-face forum find answers to questions along with comradery,
- monitored activity and provided accurate information daily to a Facebook forum of both new and experienced SCID families,
- advocated for patients through Patient Advisory positions with national and international physician groups,
- launched a request for grant proposals with a $22,500 research grant to be awarded in 2024.
Through the end of 2023, we ask that you continue to honor Heather’s SCID Angel, Brandon on his 30th year by making all end-of-year donations to Brandon’s 30th-year campaign.
